About Me

Whilst the ceremony is all about you and your fiancé, it helps when you know something about me. I am mature enough to have lived life but still young enough to have fun with you in helping arrange your ceremony and to make it special, not just for your guests but for the both of you.  I want to be there with you for this very important day.

I was originally trained as a Speech Pathologist and worked in this field for 12 years.  I then changed direction into the business domain and worked as a Personal Assistant/Secretary for almost 20 years.  I met my husband and we married 33 years ago. In the course of his work we lived in different parts of Australia before leaving to live in England for 17 years.  We travelled extensively and absorbed the whole experience of English life and Europe.  We returned to Australia in 2004 and settled in Geelong to be closer to family.

To complement my time on the farm I trained to assist children with reading problems and have been tutoring children for 10 years and enjoy the rewards it brings. I was first interested in becoming a Civil Celebrant when I was involved in the funerals of both my mother and my mother in law.  I appreciated the importance of the occasion and what I could give.  I decided to pursue the Certificate IV course through Gordon Technical College in Geelong. My life has always involved people and being a Civil Celebrant seemed a natural progression.
